Johannesburg to Cape Town – Hanover
It’s a very small town along the N1 and really only a place to make a quick stop and get some coffee. But it has loads of character in the fact that the petrol attendants are incredibly friendly. I left my car open while someone filled it up while I stepped into the cement-floored shop to grab some snacks and coffee. Off course, I wouldn’t recommend abandoning your unlocked car to anyone.
I found the takeaway menu on the wall quite fascinating. Coming from Cape Town, I can’t remember when last I saw a burger advertised for only R35.
